Checking Account vs Credit Card
If you regularly give online, then you may know there are multiple ways you can make digital donations. But what you may not know is that the way those donations are processed is very different. When we process online donations that have been made with a credit card, a percentage of the donation is kept by the credit card company as a transaction fee. While this is a perfectly normal and legal business practice, it does have one downside: it means that your donations are not reaching their full potential in the ministry and work of Radiant Church.
When we process donations that have been made through a bank account (also known as ACH), the processing fee is much smaller. While it may not seem like a huge difference in the bottom line, you may be surprised to know how big of a difference this can make. So, if you aren't already making online donations using your bank's routing and account number, we invite you to consider making the switch. The impact of something this little could literally help us change lives around the world!
Matching Funds
Did you know that many companies offer matching funds for the donations their employees make to non-profit organizations? If you didn't know that, we want to encourage you to reach out to your employer and ask them if they have matching fund programs like this in place. If they do, you have the potential to actually double the impact that your donations are already making through our Kingdom Builders initiatives. Programs like these give you the opportunity to partner with us in a unique way that won't cost you anything more than a few minutes of your time during a workday, but will create lasting impact on real people's lives forever!
Amazon Smile
If you're anything like countless millions of your fellow Americans, there is a strong chance that you make a handful of purchases on Amazon throughout the year. Amazon Smile is so amazing because it allows you to turn those purchases into donations that Amazon will make on your behalf just for shopping for things you were already going to buy!
How it works is simple: When you shop on Amazon, all you have to do is follow these steps:
1) Enter smile.amazon.com in your web browser.
2) Search for and select Radiant Church
3) Log in to your Amazon account like you normally would
4) That's it! From there, you simply shop and checkout like you normally would.
