A Historic Christian Church
Radiant Church, although a non-denominational church, stands within the tradition of historic, orthodox Christianity in our agreement and adherence to the creeds which unite all Christians and Christian churches in our one common faith. These creeds date back to the early first few centuries of the Church and were composed to be definitive statements of faith. Both the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed have anchored the Church in truth amidst the storms of shifting cultural landscapes throughout the last two thousand years.
Our Story
In 1996, Pastor Lee and Jane Cummings were sent by Resurrection Life Church in Grand Rapids, MI to plant a new church in the small Southwestern Michigan town of Richland.
Our first service was held on September 8, 1996 at Gull Lake High School, with 72 people in attendance. What began on that Sunday with a small group of friends has grown into a thriving community that gathers together as one church in multiple locations every weekend in the greater Kalamazoo region.
While the size of our church has changed over the years, our core values have remained the same. We are a God-centered, spirit-filled community that is built upon the eternal truth of scripture, always seeking to minister, serve and build with excellence in all that we do.
It's our belief that we've only begun to see the beginnings of what God has in store for us, and we eagerly look ahead, anticipating with great faith all that He is yet to do in our city, region and nation.
